Outside trim lock is a locks installed on outer side of a door in order to access the panic bar and make the Door operational from outside.

It can be a lock with lever handle or a knob to operate the panic bar mechanism easily. This lock is effective when their is an equal or adequate use of Door from both the openings & the Door is required to be both side functional.

External Trim can be operational only with the help of key from the other side of the Door where panic bar is installed & if not required can be kept close.
